An Apple Picking Day @ Parlee Farms, Tyngsborough, MA

Fall has arrived, and after a long and humid summer, I welcome it with open arms! It’s one of my favorite seasons to photograph, because everything has this spectacular glow from the foliage. When I think of fall, I think of leaves turning beautiful colors, the tranquility of a cool rainy day, family trips to the orchard, freshly baked apple cider doughnuts, and of course – pumpkin-spice everything!

On this particular Sunday, my husband and I decided to take our kids to Parlee Farms in Tyngsborough, just outside of the city, to do some apple picking. The kids absolutely love this ritual! They run through the orchards, make grand decisions on which apple is worthy of picking, and amidst everything, still manage to sometimes drive each other (and us) crazy! Often the struggle is real, but through the chaos, the laughter and tears, I managed to capture the essence of our family, and the beautiful day that it was.:)

And it all ended with the most delicious, freshly baked, apple cider doughnuts, being devoured from the trunk of our SUV.
